Okay, the heaven/hell arc on SPN shouts out to Dogma in several places and then there’s THIS SCENE, MAN. I remember Linda Fiorentinostiel and Alan Rickmetatron having this same conversation, except I like Alan Rickman’s answer better.

That's exactly what I was looking for! I know that FCV isn't a very shippy place, and I wouldn't imagine there would be much cockles, nor should there be. However, tortured bisexual Dean is my favorite thing ever (idk what that says about me), so I always imagine a tension whenever you post about this between mostly-straight Dean's thing for Danneel verus lingering feelings for Cas. And if Jensen is Dean and Dean is Jensen, what exactly does that mean in the real world? Thank you :)

oh good yay! Anon, ‘real world’ is such a contentious term in fightclubverse, eheheh. I think it started out as psychological horror, but somewhere along the way, it branches off into different genres and versions of events depending on the mood of our riff. In some of those versions, both Jensen and Dean are real, as are the worlds they come from. I think one consistency has been that it ends with Danneel holding hands with Jensen OR IS IT DEAN?? watching the CW studios burn as The Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind” plays in the background. Except for that one where Jensen is 60 years old but Dean is always going to be a young man, he’s always going to be that Platonic ideal of the broken-down hero, immortal, while Jensen is just the broken-down man entirely too aware of his own mortality.

I’m not entirely sure (and correct me if I’m wrong here, Amy) that our approach to fightclubverse assumes that Dean/Cas is happening in an explicitly romantic sense though, so my first instinct is to sincerely wonder “what lingering feelings for Cas?” ‘cos while Amy and I agree that Dean has a lot of Cas feelings, I’m not sure if they’d be the kind that conflict with Dean/Danneel (sometimes via Jensen) feelings? I’m never one to say there’s only one definitive way to do a story though, so if there’s Dean/Cas potential that you see that Amy and I have overlooked then you BLAZE THAT TRAIL, ANON. :D FIC THE FIC OF THE FIC. Hi, this is the anon who asked about Jensen and Cas. :) So here's my thoughts - I would imagine that some nights Jensen has a lot of anger towards Misha that he can't explain. Like he's be out to dinner with Danneel and Misha and Vicki or J/G, and all the sudden this would come up and he'd have to excuse himself to the bathroom to calm done. I mean, this is kind of fictional-narrative trope, but I'm a sucker for "what the hell is wrong with me?" Is that something you can expand on?

XD Anyway, ACTUALLY Amy and I did riff on a similar scenario, but it wasn’t about Misha, it was about Christopher Heyerdahl (Alastair 2.0). I mean, what with Amanda Tapping joining the cast, why not she invite people to go out for drinks with her pals from the Sanctuary cast, y’know, so of course good ol’ Chris Heyerdahl is there and Jensen totally gets the creeps and makes up some excuse to leave early. AUGH, WHY DID I NOT SAVE THOSE TWEETS. Amy, do you have those tweets?

But that’s not what you were asking, anon, I’m sorry. Let’s see. I think this might be more the territory of the Cockles that Lizzen and I had riffed upon, once upon a time, wherein the giddiness of having Misha back on set and Cas back in the story results in things like HOTEL ROOM WRESTLING MATCHES and also boning. But I guess that is more a Cockles angle than a fightclubverse angle. Hmm.

This is harder than I thought, haha. Fightclubverse is not a very shippy place. Probably Jensen might slip up and call Misha Cas occasionally, which Misha thinks is adorable and totally gives him shit for. (To draw from my other ‘verse with Switch, Ben Edlund totally calls Misha Cas too.) Also maybe sometimes Jensen slips into talking to Misha like Dean talks to Cas, and then he’s kinda thrown when Misha just Mishas out? It snaps Jensen out of it though. Like oh yeah. Reality…ish.

BUT LET’S GO FULL OUT FOURTH-WALL HORROR JEKYLL/HYDE, then Dean being freaked out by Misha would be the best. Like, ‘cos nothing else seems to be getting through to Dean, Misha goes along with it? “Yeah, sure, I’m Cas.” “You don’t sound like Cas.” “I got over my sore throat. Are you okay? I’m calling Danneel.”

Oh yeah Danneel, Dean remembers Danneel. She’s a nice girl. Dean likes her. He kind of likes her a lot.

So basically Misha lets Dean call him Cas without actually going into Cas mode at all. Dean’s all “Cas, we gotta go,” and Misha’s just like, “Sit your ass down, Tyler Durden,” and Dean’s like “??? when did you watch Fight Club?”

“Uriel burned me a DVD. Okay, Danneel’s gonna be here soon. How many fingers am I holding up?”

And it sinks in just how out of his depth Dean is here. This is Pygmalion’s world, not Galatea’s. But far be it from Galatea to give up now.

Re- Jensen's Cas feelings in ur Fightclub verse. I'm thinking about his answer to the question of "What did Dean do with Cas' coat?" where he mimed rubbing it on his face and whatnot. And then said he didn't want to know what Dean did with it. Plus it was his idea to take the coat in the first place because Dean would want to give it back in case he did come back. So Jensen doesn't want to make out with Cas but thinks Dean does

Ah, I see! I don’t watch a lot of con vids, but I do wonder if Jensen’s seeming reluctance to talk about Dean and Cas’s relationship is due to how he knows fandom is gonna jump all over it in all the ways. I love that it was Jensen’s idea to keep the coat, and while I reckon the rubbing it on his face was a joke, I am so not buying that Jensen doesn’t know what Dean did with the coat after he took it. XD

Personal concept for the demons in Supernatural. Generally their mutated forms can look like anything (because it’s fun designing a variety :P), but what all demon true forms have in common are horns of various shapes and the fact that there are remnants of their human bodies sprouting from some area on the mutated bodies. Still working on the designs for the other demons, loosely based off of rank depending on eye colour. This here would be a black-eyed demon and would generally have the smallest body size.
