Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is fairest of them all?

#the mirror never said the queen had to consume snow white’s heart #she only needed to posess it#does anyone else see the logical alternative here? #not that i think ravenna could ever wash all the blood from her hands #but with snow white’s love and compassion she could have begun to heal herself and the kingdom #she didn’t have to devour snow white she only had to love her #but ravenna doesn’t speak that language #i wonder if the mirror (her own mind…?) made the instructions that ambiguous intentionally #to see how she would choose#if she chose right she could have been redeemed #but the choice she made—i’m pretty sure she didn’t realize there even WAS a choice—proved that she was past that point

#this is why i was so enamored of the moment where snow white says she pities the queen #it would be a more interesting story than simply hating her #my kingdom for a version of the fairy tale where snow white stubbornly believes the queen is better than this #maybe in her childhood she and the queen were close before the queen went darkside #i want the scene where the queen is godstieling out and then snow white yellowcrayons her down #and then they make out #snow white and the huntsman
