Anna was not an isolated incident. Is it correlation or causation that the births of the righteous man and Lucifer’s vessel coincide with a worsening situation? ’The enemy of my enemy is my friend’ does not hold true here. Not all of the rebel angels are in league with each other. Look at Uriel and Anna. Anna fell because she believed in goodness; Uriel rebelled because he believed in Lucifer. They were at odds.
Why did Jess fall? What was the situation up in heaven around Jess’s fall? I bet there are secret police, I bet there are secret alliances, and trumped-up transgressions to incriminate troublemakers, and basically if you don’t want to end up in Bible camp on some made-up charge, you keep your head down and praise the Lord and smite who they tell you to. You love your family, of course you love your family - but can you trust them?
So here we have a couple of possibilities:
1) Jess as part of the secret police, feeling guilty about punishing the innocent, and would rather fall than continue. (omg what if Anna was also secret police??)
2) The secret police are after Jess for having thoughts similar to Anna’s.
3) Jess is part of secret police, but she did something accidentally and now the secret police are hunting her.
4) Somehow it’s an assignment where if Brady was the demon on Sam’s shoulder, Jess is the angel. She fell so that… uh, so that Brady can’t tell she’s an angel? So she’s like a sleeper agent? (WHAT IF JESS/BRADY RIVALRY OMG)
